Chelgate offers its public affairs clients bespoke government relations programmes designed to match our client’s specific brief.

We provide a wide range of public affairs services, including political monitoring, stakeholder mapping, campaign management, political and media training or pre-briefing, events management, as well as offering broad strategic and tactical resources and guidance.

Our public affairs team is overseen by Chelgate Romania’s General Manager, Mirela Meita, who began her government career as head of the office of the President of the Parliament of Romania. With experience as an advisor to the foreign affairs department of the Chamber of Deputies and a postgraduate qualification in diplomacy from the University of Westminster, Mirela leads a team with a deep understanding of the Romanian political system.

Because strict laws bind many European and American companies operating outside of their homes jurisdictions, Chelgate’s government relations programmes operate within strict moral and legal limits. In Britain, the Bribery Act (2010) places the legal onus on any British company operating abroad to hold not only its employees, but also other firms operating on its behalf, to strict new rules. The US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act makes a similar requirement. As a British owned firm, Chelgate is used to operating within these moral and legal limits, and does so across all of its work in all international jurisdictions.
